The Institute was awarded the following financial aid by different funding institutions:

 
  • Ford Conservation & Environmental Grant: The project grant was approved last 2004 and was implemented last 2005. It would be used to facilitate the formation and strengthening of the Integrated Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Management Council (IFARMC) of the Outer Lamon Bay Cluster.
  • PHILSSA-CORD-AID Grant: PHILSSA approved a grant last 2004 for the Strategic Assessment and Planning (SAP) of the IFARMC which was implemented last 2005.

  • Society of Jesus Philippine Province Subsidy: The ISO received funding for support for the Value-Based Education Program (VBEP) from the Jesuit Province for 2006.

  • Conservation International: Last May 24-25, 2005, the ISO became finalist in a global competition on Sustainable Livelihood Options sponsored by the World Bank Development Marketplace. The project is the Experimental Seaweed Farm cum Seedling Bank.

  • IIRR-IDRC Exploratory Regional Policy Study: A grant was given for the Strengthening the Integrated Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Management Council (IFARMC) in San Miguel Bay which will be implemented this March-December 2006.

  • Philippine Tropical Forest Conservation Foundation (PTFCF): For the second semester of 2005, the ISO was given a grant for the research entitled "Capacity Enhancement cum Mangrove Forest Research Project" which is being implemented under IFARMC of Outer Lamon Bay
  • MISEREOR: ISO was recieved a grant for the Social Transformation and Grassroots Empowerment (STAGE) Program in both Camarines Norte and Quezon from 1998 to 2006.

  • German Doctors, Inc.: ISO received a grant from the German Doctors for the ISO's ongoing Support to Alternative Livelihood Project (SALP) being implemented in Mercedes, Camarines Norte for the Inter Island Management Council (IIMC). The project began in August 2004 and is still ongoing.
